Be Online Campaign Gets Underway
A UK-wide digital inclusion campaign is taking place from 15 – 28 February, which will see hundreds of UK online centres – and other organisations – hold events in community venues across the country.
The events for Be Online will see people reach out to those in their community without basic digital skills, or who want a bit more confidence using technology, and help them start gaining the skills they need to make the most of an online life.
The campaign is another good opportunity to help people search and apply for work online or see how the internet can support their health. There are at least five organisations in Wales running an event for Be Online, from Menter Berllan in Powys, to Cardiff Community Housing Association in the capital.
The campaign also has a social media guide, to help people who are running Be Online events to promote them.
If you’re not involved in Be Online and want to know where in Wales you can go to use a computer, go online and get support, visit the Get Online in Wales directory.
